Today, as we celebrate Memorial Day and say thank-you to all our veterans my father comes to mind, a WWII veteran. I have stated in other blogs there will never be a day, especially a Patriotic holiday that I will not hold Legend Homecorp, Legend Classic Homes, Legend Homes LLT or whatever they call themselves at the time, responsible for the shoddy construction that caused the demise of almost all my most precious possessions.
Sitting at a mediation at the BBB Mike Wilkinson, President, Ms. Darby their council, and of course David Gipe, area president and then there was me. Listening to the lies David Gipe spewed to cover up the absurd statements he made to me as to why my things fell apart in the house. He connected my marital status as the cause of ruining everything, truly.
Legend did not hold the kid, John Boden responsible. He was supposed to be overseeing the house.
He obviously did not know what he was doing nor did he care, nor did his bosses care.
After my inspection this kid argued with everything my inspector stated on the inspection, only to find out he was wrong on all accounts and my inspector was correct.
If you look at Ripoff Report you will see this company is not what the BBB makes it out to be.
They take little to no responsibility, they blame the homeowners, the have blantly lied in my case.
The newsreporter met with them after an article came out and said he knew they were lying about me. Blaming me for the shoddy work and that ladies and gentlemen is the kind of business that the Houston BBB protects. You will either work out your problem or Dan Parsons will close your complaint out and in my case try to put me into binding arbitration with people like these.
Do not forget Mr. Parsons had his employee call me at work wanting me to identify myself as a poster in regards to an article on the BBB in the Chronicle that he very obviously had removed.
I will continue to talk of my expereince with Legend Homes and the BBB. Ii will never forget what they did to me.
make sure you see the postings on ripoff.

Participating in what is now my third legislative session in regards to my House of Horrors compliments of Legend Homecorp. I have been enlightened as to the political aspects of the the homebuilding industry. What it comes down to in my opinion is the more money the industry gives to an elected offical the better chance they will vote against any kind of law that will protect the consumers or better known as their constituents. They will however promote bills the building industry asks them to so they will protect this industry.Legend Homecorp. uses the excuse check our record with the BBB when complaints are filed. I know that first hand. At this point I would have to say many do not file with the BBB as far as Legend Homes because they know it is fruitless. I have stated when you file a complaint with the BBB Legend knows just what to do to continue their "good record". If you go to www.hadd.com there is plenty of reading on the BBB as far as complaints. As a matter of fact maybe 2 months ago when an article came out in the Houston Chronicle in regards to the BBB there were numerous negative comments. I actually received a call at work from a BBB employee who called me to identify myself as a poster. Can you imagine, the head of the BBB had his employee call someone to identify themselves as a poster. It was incredible and just as incredible was the fact that the comments and article disappeared from the newspaper. I would ask you go to www.hadd.com and www.hobb.org and Homeowners of Texas to see what can happen to you if you end up like me or thousands of others left with a defective home as the builder laughs all the way to the bank

Legend Home Corp. Experience
Under Construction
DISCLAIMER: This blog is not connected with Legend Homecorp. Legend Classic Homes LTD. Legend (fill in the blank). It is merely my story and my exprience with this builder and the horrors I have had to endure for buying one of their houses.
Welcome! This blog is dedicated to all who have had the unfortunate experience of buying a new
home only to find out it is full of defects and your builder refuses to act ethically and honestly.
MY STORY:
Before I went to closing I hired a home inspector to go through the Legend house I wanted to purchase. I vivedly remember him shaking his head and saying it is bad. He made a list of things that needed to be redone before move in and the rest he stated was warranty work. You may ask, why did I go to closing? Well, this builder had a good rating with the Better Business Bureau in Houston. I really believed that if the BBB said they were OK, THEY WERE OK. Well I am here to tell you in the beginning Legend did work with me fixing several of their mistakes. Of course I sometimes had to go over the head of they guy holding the clipboard because he would refuse to help, but nevertheless things were fixed. Mostly small things that did not mean much in terms of time of money to this company.
Fast forward almost 2 years later. This is my story.
Incredible Strange Things Happening to New Home
Houston Community NewspapersHomeowners increasingly face builder damages, neglect "There was defective caulking, large gaps in the bricks, the tub wasn't working properly, cracks in the ceiling and the dining room, water intrusion in the walls...," Kushner said. "Even my garage door wasn't installed properly and every time the wind blew, it would cause the security alarm to go off. I had to have someone come out and fix that problem. It was horrible." A closer inspection would reveal nearly every family heirloom and assorted clothing and shoes stored in her closet had fallen apart, leaving Kushner clueless as to the cause...Kushner has presented her case, from the Harris County Appraisal District to Rep. Corbin Van Arsdale to members of the statehouse all the way to Gov. Rick Perry. Read more...
It was at this time I started putting the bizarre pieces together. After I moved in things started to fall apart, anything that was glued came apart. Anything of a leather nature was ruined, BIZARRE!!! The damage was slow going so it took a while to realize it was happening because of a HOUSE DEFECT. What it was, I have no idea.
I met with Legend Homecorp. person Barbara Puskar who told me David Gipe area president was out of town but she would relay this to him when he came back from his trip. When I met with Mr. Gipe he "examined" the house and made a recommendation to call an engineer in. After testing was done Mr. Gipe visited me and here is where the bubble burst, the walls came tumbling down or just insulting the intelligence of the homeowner. Mr. Gipe scientifically explained how it was my marital status as a single person with no spouse or kids that caused the deterioration of my belongings. Explanation: When I walk in the house I let the humidity in and there is no one here to run in and out to let the humidity out. There you have it folks, and then one thinks...and I bought a house from these people.
